Children's Devotional about Eternity
In chapter 21, it gives us a detailed description
of the Holy City, the New Jerusalem. Chapter 22
carries on from there.
We have a beautiful description of what eternity
would be like. It will be full of the glory of God.
We will be in His presence forever. There shall be
no more impure or hateful things; nothing will ever
harm us again (v: 3). There will be healing and
restoration (v: 2).
We decide here and now, while we a yet living,
where we spend our eternity Hebrews 9:27-28. There is a real Heaven
and a real Hell. Chapter 20: 13-15 speaks of a place
called Hades (Hell).
Do you know where you will spend eternity? If you
have asked Jesus into your heart, you can be sure
you will spend eternity with Him. Your name is
recorded in the Lamb's book of life (21: 27).
If you haven't asked Jesus into your heart, would
you like to now, so you can be sure where you
will spend eternity?
Here is a prayer you might like to pray:
Lord Jesus, I ask you now to come into my heart
and be my Lord and Saviour. Forgive me for what
I have done wrong, and help me to walk with you
every day. Fill me with your Holy Spirit.
In Jesus name. Amen.
He'll wipe every tear from their eyes. Death is
gone for good--tears gone, crying gone, pain
gone--all the first order of things gone. - Revelation 21: 4 (MSG)
Lord, I want to spend eternity
Before your throne of grace,
To be at peace forevermore
And to behold your face.
