Ecclesiastes 3:1-11
To everything
there is a season, and a time for
every matter
or purpose under heaven, (V: 1).
We all go
through different seasons in life.
It's
especially so when we have children.
Isaiah 40: 11
says, "He will feed His flock like
a shepherd: He
will gather the lambs in His
arms, He will carry
them in His bosom and will
gently lead those that
have their young." It is
only for a season that
our children are young and we feel as though we
are limited in what we
can do for God. He doesn't
require as much when
we have little ones to tend
to. We can still be
fruitful though. We can plant
so much into our
kid's lives. There are also
opportunities to
reach out to other Mum's with
young children.
We can have a dynamic impact on
those around
us.
Quite often we can feel that being at
home with
our children is looked down upon.
Being a Mother
is not easy, and is tiring and
draining, but it
is the most rewarding of jobs.
To raise our
children to follow God is very
challenging in
today's world. We need all the
resources of Heaven!
We notice with our
children growing and going off
to school, we
become a lot more freed up to pursue
those
things that God may be laying on our hearts
to
do. We start to move into a different season
of
our lives. I love what verse 11 says, "He
has made
everything beautiful in its time. He
has planted
eternity in men's hearts and minds
[a divinely
implanted sense of a purpose
working through the
ages which nothing under
the sun but God alone
can satisfy], yet so that
men cannot find out
what God has done from the
beginning to the end."
Everything is made beautiful in its time. Each season of life we go through is beautiful. From singleness to marriage and having a family; joining the workforce or being in full or part-time ministry; becoming grandparents, then moving into retirement. In all these seasons, we can still be fruitful for our Lord. God has awesome things for us to do no matter what season we are in right now.

And he shall be like a
tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams
of water, ready to bring
forth its fruit in its
season; its leaf also shall
not fade or wither;
and everything he does shall
prosper [and come
to maturity]. ~ Psalm 1: 3

Lord there are so many
seasons
That we go through in life
May each
season bring forth fruit
So you may be
glorified.
