Read:
Jeremiah 18: 1-10
“As the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you
in my hand, O house of Israel”.
God plucks up and breaks down nations or kingdoms
that are doing evil in His eyes – but if they “turn
from their evil”, God will reverse His decision. And
a nation that God is building up that turns from Him
and does evil, He will reverse His decision concerning
the good He was going to do. Just like the potter at
the wheel, he will rework what he is moulding until
it seems good to him, (V: 4).
Our lives are often likened to the clay, and God is the
potter. He moulds us, shapes us and forms us into the
vessel He wants us to be. Being on the potter’s wheel,
under the potter’s hand, can cause us some pain. Being
moulded and changed into a vessel that can be mightily
used – is painful. It is so necessary though, to allow
ourselves to be moulded by our Father God.
Would you allow Him today to shape you and make
you into the vessel that can be used for the purposes
He has planned? You shall then emerge a beautiful
vessel that God can fill and send forth.

So whoever cleanses himself [from what is ignoble and
unclean, who separates himself from contact with
contaminating and corrupting influences] will [then
himself] be a vessel set apart and useful for honourable
and noble purposes, consecrated and profitable to the
Master, fit and ready for any good work. ~ 2 Timothy 2: 21
Lord I pray that I
may be
A vessel that you can use
Mould my
life with loving hands
To be whatever you
choose.
