Music is the song 'Desperate' by David Delgado and used with permission. To listen to his music, please visit his site Wordless Worship. Hope you enjoy! You may translate the poem into your own language if you want a copy of it in its 'translated' form for yourself or for a friend you want to share it with - making sure the translation is 'accurate' though. But if you are using the 'google translator' tool I've placed on my site, you will need to check the accuracy of the translation on the google translate web page, as it may not have translated correctly - and even then you may need to copy and paste the English version line by line (as well as check the odd word for meaning and context) to get it 'more accurate' as google's translate web page isn't completely accurate either. I'm sorry that it may take longer if you want this poem in your own language, but it needs to be correct because if it isn't, it will lose its meaning. Machine translators can never be as accurate as a human translator, so please do check! What We're Looking For/Salvation Poem smimage

1 Timothy 6:6-8

Now godliness with contentment is great gain.
For we brought nothing into this world,
and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.

What Is It We're Looking For

So often we try to fill the void
With what the world provides,
In hope that we will find contentment
For our dreary, empty lives
But listen my friend it's only temporary
And is like chasing the wind,
The things of the world simply won't fulfil
The unhappiness we have within

We mustn't look for our fulfilment
In pleasures that won't satisfy,
For we can never fulfil what's lacking
Unless Christ comes inside
For God has created us to need Him
And fills us with His love,
So we won't need more worldly things,
Nor crave for ungodly stuff

We need to stop and ask ourselves,
What is it we're looking for?
And can we truly be fulfilled
If we don't allow the Lord
To come inside and bring the change
That's needed in our lives?
So we will find that true happiness
Is only found in Christ.
