Often when we're going through
A time of spiritual warfare,
Satan tries to attack our minds
And tell us God won't hear
He tells us we don't really have
The armour to wage war
And that we'll never win the battle,
We'll fail like times before
He tells us we won't make a difference,
Especially with those we love
The breakthrough we've been praying for
Won't happen, so just give up
We find that in our every day life,
Things seem to get on top,
We find the very ones we love
End up copping the lot
We must be aware who's behind it all
And not let him have his way
Refuse to give in to anger and hurt,
Don't give him another day
For truly we are in a battle,
Fighting our enemy
And though, at times, it's so intense,
We shall have the victory
Be encouraged, my friend, to carry on,
Resisting Satan's onslaughts,
Holding onto our Lord Jesus Christ
And God's word, we’ve been taught
For how you feel is common to all,
Your fellow believers in Christ,
Just know that we all understand
When warfare is in our lives
And Jesus is there interceding for you,
Every moment of the day
Tap into God's heavenly power
As your spirit continually prays.
