Being Still

Lord Jesus,
Help me be still before you
Let my mind be set on you
Let all distractions fall away
Then I will clearly see you—
Your face!

Let me behold your face
And intently gaze into your beauty.
Let me drink deeply of your Spirit
As I breathe in and breathe out.

Lord, my thoughts often distract me
Be the centre of my thoughts
Woo me back to you,
And centre me again in you
My thoughts, my mind filled with you
As I return to stillness before you.
