Devotional: In Christ, We Are - Redeemed
Christian Devotion about Who we are in Christ - Redeemed
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. - Ephesians 1:7 (NKJV)
Through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, the shedding of His blood, we have forgiveness with a complete pardon of our sins – Christ's blood paid the penalty completely. We have received salvation and deliverance through the finished work of Christ.
There is nothing we can add to the finished work of Christ. His blood has accomplished it all – once and for all, so we can stand before God completely cleansed and assured of our salvation and reconciliation to the Father. This is who we are as sons and daughters of God, and this is what Christ accomplished for us.
Take a moment to thank God for all He has done for you that you can walk in complete freedom, cleansed of all your sin. Thank Him that you can walk in the finished work of Christ.

But it is from Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God [revealing His plan of salvation], and righteousness [making us acceptable to God], and sanctification [making us holy and setting us apart for God], and redemption [providing our ransom from the penalty for sin]. - 1 Corinthians 1:30 (AMP)
For He has rescued us and has drawn us to Himself from the dominion of darkness, and has transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption [because of His sacrifice, resulting in] the forgiveness of our sins [and the cancellation of sins' penalty]. - Colossians 1:13-14 (AMP)
Christ purchased our freedom and redeemed us from the curse of the Law and its condemnation by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs [crucified] on a tree (cross)". - Galatians 3:13 (AMP)
