Devotional: Pray For Wisdom
Christian Devotion on God's Wisdom
"...If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of
the giving God [Who gives] to everyone liberally and
ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and
it will be given him. Only it must be in faith that he
asks with no wavering (no hesitating, no doubting)..." - James 1:5-6 (AMPC)
This seems so easy to do—yet so often we don't think
to ask God for His wisdom. We are faced daily, with many different situations,
that which requires God's wisdom to show us what to do—yet we
so often do not ask, or we ask with doubt. We must ask
in faith, and not doubt God will answer. His word says
that when we ask Him, He will give liberally to us. He
doesn't hold it back. He longs for us to have His wisdom.
We should pray daily for God to give us His wisdom, so
that when we are faced with difficult situations throughout
the day, we will know how to handle it. We need God's wisdom, each and every day
