Temptation
Lord I need your
help
When daily I am faced
With temptation to do what’s
wrong
Lord I need your loving grace
I feel so very
desperate
And I try to do my best
Why can’t I be stronger,
Lord?
And rise above the flesh
All the power that I
need
Your Holy Spirit provides
I need to keep my trust in
you
And my flesh I must deny
He knows just how we
feel
When temptation comes to us
And provides a way of
escape
When we have had enough
We must trust to Him each
day
That He’ll be with us all
So we may bear up under
it
And be stronger in the Lord
