~A Christian Wedding Poem~

The Christian Wedding Poem here you may use for your Wedding or give it to someone else as a gift on their Wedding day. Please see my 'Terms Of Use' page, for use of the Poems.'

All poetry must remain as I have written it - with no changes made. Thank you!

If you are looking for a poem on 'Love' to use in a Wedding ceremony, click on Friendship/Love Poetry, where there are some Christian Love poems that you might find useful in a Wedding ceremony.

*Note* There are more Wedding verses in the Card Verses section of this site, click on 'Wedding Card Verses' area. These can be used for creating ecards, creating your own homemade wedding cards, or for use on at a Wedding. Please also note that I have now included another version of this poem, so that it's more personalized for the Bride & Groom to use.

If you need to contact me in regards to the poem, click on the 'Contact Me Form' button to go to the contact form, and fill in your details there. If you want to send this page to a friend, click on the 'Share The Love' button at the bottom of the poem. Thank you!

There is also an option to listen to this Wedding Poem if you would like to. Just click on the link above the title of the poem. You will need to have 'Real Player' installed on your computer to hear the poem. Please also turn your sound up a bit - as it may be a little soft. Music is the song 'Worthy To Serve' by David Delgado and used with permission. To listen to his music, please visit his site Wordless Worship. Hope you enjoy! You may translate the poem into your own language if you want a copy of it in its 'translated' form for yourself or for a friend you want to share it with - making sure the translation is 'accurate' though. But if you are using the 'google translator' tool I've placed on my site, you will need to check the accuracy of the translation on the google translate web page, as it may not have translated correctly - and even then you may need to copy and paste the English version line by line (as well as check the odd word for meaning and context) to get it 'more correct' as google's translate web page isn't completely accurate either. I'm sorry that it may take longer if you want this poem in your own language, but it needs to be correct because if it isn't, it will lose its meaning. Machine translators can never be as accurate as a human translator, so please do check! Please Note: The mp3 is for listening on this site only - please do not download it or direct link to it. Thank you.

United Hearts

God has brought you here together
To be united in His love,
Joined in Holy Matrimony
With faith in God above

Wedding Poem bullet

Let your faith guide your lives
With a measure of God's grace,
For this is what keeps love strong
Through whatever you may face

Wedding Poem bullet

Keep building your marriage on
The foundation of Christ,
It will not crumble or give way
Through the daily pressures of life

Wedding Poem bullet

But it will stand the test of time,
Growing stronger day by day
Just keep your hearts truly united,
Joined as one when you pray

Wedding Poem bullet

The cord that binds your hearts
Will not fray, or break in two
When you build your lives on God,
He will walk with you.

Here is another version of the poem "United Hearts" re-written in a personalized way for the Bride & Groom to use. It may be more ideal to use this version in your Wedding Invitations, or for whatever other use you'd like to use it for.

United Hearts

God has brought us here together
To be united in His love,
Joined in Holy Matrimony
With faith in God above

Wedding Poem bullet

For it's our faith that guides our lives
With a measure of God's grace,
For this is what keeps love strong
Through whatever we may face

Wedding Poem bullet

And as we build our marriage on
The foundation of Christ,
It will not crumble or give way
Through the daily pressures of life

Wedding Poem bullet

But it will stand the test of time,
Growing stronger day by day,
As we keep our hearts united
And joined as one when we pray

Wedding Poem bullet

The cord that binds our hearts in love
Will not fray over the years,
For when we build our lives on God,
We discover His love is there.
