Christian Devotion about the search light of God's truth

  Search me
[thoroughly], O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there is any wicked or hurtful
way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. - Psalm 139:23-24 (AMPC)
 We all need to come
before God and invite Him to shine His light into the deepest core of our being—exposing anything that may not
be right or inline with Him, as we can often be 'unaware' of what is deep within us.So often, as we journey
with God, the Holy Spirit reveals things about us that we need to deal with, or we need to bring before Him in
surrender—things that we didn't even know were there. There is so much more to
us than we even know ourselves, but God is all-knowing and knows our innermost being and the deepest parts of our
personality. So, we need to be open to God's search light and allow Him to reveal to us anything that needs to be
brought into the light. No one is exempt from this!We may think we have it
all together, or think we are walking in the light as He is in the light—and we are if we're following Christ
wholly—but part of walking in the light is allowing the light to expose anything that may be contrary to God's
ways. It could be a faulty mindset or misguided beliefs, human weaknesses in some area, personality flaws that
need to be aligned with God's Word–or even sin! Whatever it may be, we all need to allow God to search our hearts
and show us if there is anything that He wants to bring to our attention and then ask for His help in dealing
with it. And as we do this, He leads us in His everlasting way!We all need to be
teachable and pliable because none of us have arrived at 'perfection' in our 'humanness' while we are on earth.© By M.S.Lowndes
