The Baptism Poem here you may use for your Baptism or give it
If you are wanting a baby Baptism poem, please see the Baby Dedication page. Poems for baby Baptisms come under 'Baby Dedication' poems, as I don't write baptism poems for babies or very young children. The kind of poems I write for such an occasion, is more of a Baby Dedication poem. The baptism poem here is for an 'adult baptism'.
If you are using the Baptism poem here, please do not alter the poem in any way. All poetry must remain as I have written it - with no changes made. Thank you!
*Note* There are more Baptism verses in the 'Baptism Card Verses'
area. These can be used for creating e-cards, creating your
own home-made cards, or for use on a special occasion.

There is also an option to listen to this Baptism Poem if you would like to. Just click on the link above the title of the poem. You will need to have 'Real Player' installed on your computer to hear the poem. Please also turn your sound up a bit - as it may be a little soft. Music is the song 'My God Reigns' by David Delgado and used with permission. To listen to his music, please visit his site Wordless Worship. Hope you enjoy! You may translate the poem into your own language if you want a copy of it in its 'translated' form for yourself or for a friend you want to share it with - making sure the translation is 'accurate' though. But if you are using the 'google translator' tool I've placed on my site, you will need to check the accuracy of the translation on the google translate web page, as it may not have translated correctly - and even then you may need to copy and paste the English version line by line (as well as check the odd word for meaning and context) to get it 'more correct' as google's translate web page isn't completely accurate either. I'm sorry that it may take longer if you want this poem in your own language, but it needs to be correct because if it isn't, it will lose its meaning. Machine translators can never be as accurate as a human translator, so please do check! Please Note: The mp3 is for listening on this site only - please do not download it or direct link to it. Thank you.

For Your Baptism
You're taking this step
In obedience to the Lord,
To be baptized in His
And heed the Master's call
To rise up with faith
And go where He may lead
To share God's love to
And touch them in their need
May God pour out His
Upon your life today
So you may walk in His
As you commit to Him your way
Keep on trusting in
No matter what you face
And keep your eyes on Jesus
And live in His sweet grace.
