Christian Poem: Time In The Prayer Closet

The Lord's heart is towards us,
He inclines His ear to our cry
His love restores and forgives us,
A love that brings us life

His love is new every morning
And flows into our hearts,
Giving us strength to face our day,
A renewed joy at the start

The time spent in the prayer closet
Brings us closer to the Lord
Our spirits then can be refreshed
And our hope can be restored

But we need to be going daily
Into God's throne room of grace,
Surrendering all that's not of Him
And giving Him thanks and praise

To stand before Him with confidence
As a new creation in Christ,
For it's only then that we'll emerge
Refreshed, renewed and revived

So let us come and draw from the Lord
All the riches His Word provides,
So our daily walk with Him reveals
The promised abundant life.
